People with Energy vs People with Fatigue
Want normal energy, to work and live normally? Instead of fatigue & hopelessness, face each day with energy & enthusiasm? It is possible. You know it, because you see people with energy all the time. Jogging, playing sport, going to the gym.
What’s the difference between them and you? Read on…
Finding the Cause of Your Fatigue
There is a reason for your fatigue. A reason why you don’t have the energy that your neighbour has. (The one who goes for a run each day …after she has done a full day of work.)
By using a combination of medical and functional pathology, we take a thorough, and disciplined approach to testing you for the multiple causes of fatigue to break the steps down, identify the cause and treat it thoroughly.
Being Comprehensive is the Key
Modern medicine (when practiced by an expert physician) can diagnose & address many of the causes of fatigue. But not all. Our comprehensive system combines Medical diagnosis with Naturopathic strategies to address the underlying cause of fatigue.
From here, we can identify a multitude of issues – in a way far more comprehensive than you have probably ever had the opportunity to access before. Or are likely to again.
And obviously, we do not stop at identifying the cause of your fatigue, we fix it.

Our Checklist Approach
Anyone can say they are being thorough, but what does it actually mean?
What we mean, is this. We take you through a comprehensive list, and test you for:
- Iron Levels
- B Group Vitamin Levels
- Vitamin D3
- Hormones which affect Energy (eg “DHEA” & Testosterone – yes, in women too)
- Adrenal Fatigue
- Thyroid Function
- Gut Health & Nutrient Mal-absorption
- MTHFR Gene Issue & Pyrrole Disorder
(There is even more that we do, but this article would go for pages – many of them).
How these Affect Your Energy
Here is are ultra-summarised reasons why these affect your health. And how we fix them for you. (Most of these are measured with a blood sample and pathology tests).
- Iron: Carries oxygen and nutrients to your body. Low oxygen/nutrient supply, low energy.
- B Group Vitamins: Converts food to FUEL your body can use.
- Vitamin D3: Mostly for bone and brain, but also muscle fatigue making physical activity feel like a struggle.
- Testosterone: The “warrior hormone”. Tremendous for vigour & vitality, but only if you have enough.
- DHEA: The building block for all hormones (including testosterone). The implications for energy are too many to list.
- Adrenal Fatigue: Adrenaline is often surging in people with high stress. We use cortisol to measure and assess adrenal health. When adrenal health is low, this inhibits our ability to cope and leaves us feeling exhausted and stressed.
- Gut/Nutrient Mal-absorption: Gut inflammation is amazingly common and can be linked to food sensitivities, gut parasites or chronic stress suppressing your digestive function. If you cannot digest foods you will not absorb the nutrients from your diet and the energy fuel they provide.
- MTHFR Gene: The human needs to “methylate” folate and other energy-critical nutrients to get proper value from them. Up to 70% of people simply can’t, because of a VERY common gene disorder. Few doctors know to even try diagnose and how to treat this.
- Thyroid: Your thyroid hormones play a crucial role in your metabolism, issues with thyroid hormone production are common and can leave you feeling flat, tired and sluggish. We will show you how to test for thyroid problems and how to fix them.
How We Actually Fix Fatigue
Vitamins & Hormones: For most of these, we know the normal and optimal levels. If your blood test shows you are low (which is very common for many of these in MOST people) we supplement your levels up to normal, or preferably, optimal.
Fixing Adrenal Fatigue: Adrenal fatigue and Thyroid function are frequently linked. Lifestyle solutions are often necessary. Eg stress over-works the adrenal gland, so a variety of anti-stress measures are required. Thyroid directly affects metabolism, key to breaking down nutrients into usable fuel. Diet changes and supplements can make a world of difference for energy (AND weight loss – bonus!)
Addressing Gut Inflammation: Food allergies and intolerances are common. We do two things. Identify what you should not eat, and/or your body can be TRAINED (in a revolutionary new approach) to not react badly to good, nutritious foods. Your gut inflammation decreases, your nutritional absorption increases, and so does your energy!
Bypassing MTHFR: This gene defect is relatively common which can impact your body in a variety of ways, symptoms associated with the MTHFR gene defect can include fatigue, foggy head and anxiety. We can show you how to test and treat this common disorder.
“My patients are often surprised at how easy it can be to get their energy back.”
The Results – A New Lease on Life Really is Possible
It is incredibly rewarding working with Fatigue patients. Have you ever optimistically bought vitamins from the chemist, and felt no different? This is the opposite of that. This is bio-molecular science.
It’s not guesswork. We detect the causes of your fatigue in a disciplined way, and we treat it scientifically.
“Patients regularly say things like, I can’t believe how much better I feel, I’m doing things again I gave up doing years ago, I’m full of energy, and I’m on top of the world.”
The Chance is Here – Grab it With Both Hands
It’s not every day you get the chance to change your life. REALLY change your life, for the better.
This is that chance.
Don’t miss out. Increased energy, a real sense of robust VITALITY, is very much a reality.

Type 1: General Fatigue
Most of the people that we see experience fatigue and this can present in different ways.
There are those who are generally tired – they will indicate they wake up tired, energy drops mid-morning or mid-afternoon, they fall in a heap after work, or they simply don’t have the energy they used to.
Type 2: “Wired But Tired”
These people identify as being generally “flat” in energy, but with small surges (usually at night). They will lay awake because their mind is racing and they simply cannot sleep. Or they will frequently wake through the night and cannot fall back to sleep. Or they will simply not sleep at all.
Type 3: Pure Exhaustion
We also see those who have been struggling for a long time with their energy levels and they are exhausted all of the time. They simply cannot cope with things anymore, feel overwhelmed, anxious and/or depressed and have come to a point where things MUST change.
These patients are usually very emotional and will come to tears just talking about how exhausted they feel all of the time.
Type 4: Vitamin Deficiencies
Low levels of key nutrients such as Iron, Vitamin D and B12 are things we test to ensure the adequate levels are in range. These vitamins contribute to natural vitality and energy and will lead to fatigue if one is deficient.
Insufficient nutrition is another significant contributor to fatigue and we like to identify and correct these nutrients, however we also like to determine why the nutrients are low in the first place. For example, with low iron;
- Are there hormone issues leading to excess iron loss?
- Is there a parasite or bacteria utilising iron or preventing iron absorption?
- Are there gut issues generally affecting the absorption of nutrients?
- Is it simply a matter of poor dietary choices?
These underlying factors are all relatively easy to identify and correct.
Type 5: Stress
One of the most common thing we see as a contributing factor for fatigue is stress. Referring to the perceived stress we experience as a result of our ability to cope with the pressures in our lives such as work, finance and relationship pressures.
The problem today is that we often feel as though we are constantly under pressure and our adrenal gland is being over-stimulated and at times doesn’t shut down and reset properly (as it should normally when resting).
In the clinic we see different stages of this adrenal malfunction – the human body is pretty resilient and can handle significant periods of stress before the cracks start to occur.
Tests and Health Planning
While fatigue is a common symptom seen in our practice, as professionals we know that there are a number of factors that may contribute this. Because each case is different, patients will undergo detailed medical tests to identify the cause of their fatigue. Many of the contributors to fatigue are easy to identify and in the can be easily remedied.
In stress related cases, cortisol levels need to be checked and analysed to help assess which levels need to be adjusted.
Once the test results are handed back from pathology, the patient will be given all the nutritional and medical information and a tailored plan will be created to move forward.
THERE IS HELP
Even those who are feeling completely hopeless and exhausted can get their energy back. In the majority of cases, the steps to achieving this are relatively simple and it does not take long to turn your energy around.
Patients are often surprised at how easy it can be to get their energy back!
